At a glance
- Goethe and TELC are two German certifications recognized in Germany.
- The choice mainly depends on exam date, the format that suits you, and requirements from your employer or Ausbildung school.
- At Millennia Marrakech, we prepare for both.
Common points
- Levels aligned with CEFR (A1 to C1 depending on exam)
- Four skills: listening, reading, writing, speaking
- Useful for Ausbildung, work contracts, studies, and Germany visa
Main differences
Goethe-Institut
Goethe is often seen as the "premium" reference. The sections are demanding, especially writing and speaking. Many employers and organizations know the Goethe B1 / B2 diploma well.
TELC
TELC (The European Language Certificates) is also recognized. The oral format is often considered more accessible by candidates. For some Ausbildung applications, TELC B1 or B2 works perfectly.
Which one to choose for working in Germany?
- Check the written requirement in the offer (Goethe B1, TELC B2, etc.).
- If no preference: choose the nearest session and the format where you feel most comfortable.
- If in doubt, ask for advice after a level test in Marrakech. Difficulty of the papers (oral vs writing, resits): is TELC easier than Goethe?.
How to pass Goethe or TELC in Marrakech
- Training under real conditions (mock exams)
- Detailed correction of writing and speaking
- Targeted Ausbildung / employment vocabulary
- Intensive 6 to 12 week plan if level is already close
