At a glance

In Marrakech, Italian is useful here first: speaking with Italian guests, preparing a study file, or adding a Romance language to solid French. You learn it in Gueliz. You do not sit the official diploma in the city. At Millennia Centre de Formation, Italian courses cover conversation, grammar and culture, from A1 to B2+.

What Italian changes in Marrakech

This is not a tunnel to Germany. Local demand is more concrete:

  • Tourism and hospitality: riad, restaurant, medina, bookings. One Italian line changes a check-in.
  • Studies: universities in Italy, Erasmus files. The language of the file is not the language of a Colosseum feed.
  • Stack: Italian + French, or Italian + English, on the same campus.

A French speaker often reads faster than they speak. The trap: assuming you are “already good” and skipping the placement test.

Classes in Gueliz, exam elsewhere

Millennia teaches. It does not issue the CILS. The test is held at the Italian Cultural Institute in Rabat, the only seat in Morocco. Dates, documents and payment: Italian in Marrakech: classes locally, CILS in Rabat.

Do not confuse:

  • the centre’s internal certificate (course completed)
  • CILS (University for Foreigners of Siena, via Rabat)

If you do not need a state diploma, the classes are enough. If a study file requires one, time prep to a June or December session, then register in Rabat.

FAQ

Why learn Italian in Marrakech rather than another language?

In Marrakech demand is local: Italian guests (riad, restaurants, medina), study files for Italy, and a complement to French or English. It is not an Ausbildung track.

Is Italian easier for a French speaker?

The lexicon often helps with reading. Speaking, agreement and tenses still need work. Closeness to French does not replace a placement test.

Do you need a CILS diploma to start?

No. You can take classes for speaking and work in Marrakech without aiming for a diploma. CILS is sat in Rabat, not Marrakech. Millennia prepares on request; it does not run the exam.

Where can you take Italian classes in Gueliz?

At Millennia Centre de Formation, 1st floor, Centre d'Affaire Jihane, N°2 Boulevard 11 Janvier. Groups from A1 to B2+, placement test. WhatsApp: +212 669-694431.

Can you combine Italian with another language?

Yes, on the same campus: French, English, Spanish or German, depending on the plan. Useful if the job mixes tourist hospitality and a second language.
